The University of Toronto Urology Residency Program is a comprehensive, immersive five year training program with clinical and research exposure to all sub-specialty areas of urology including renal transplantation, uro-oncology, urinary stone disease and endourology, pediatric urology, neuro-urology, genitourinary trauma, men’s health (fertility, andrology), sexual health and reconstructive urology. Trainees interested in an academic career have opportunities to step out of the clinical stream to enroll in the University of Toronto, Department of Surgery Surgical Scientist Training Program.
Virtual open houses will be held on: December 11 at 5pm (EST) to meet the selection committee; December 12 at 12 noon (EST) to meet some of our current residents; and February 19 at 5pm (EST) for a question & answer format with the Program Director and Assistant Program Director. The program is currently transitioning towards a fully competency-based medical education curriculum, in line with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons “Competency By Design (CBD)” mandate. Clinical rotations include exposure to off-service rotations in general surgery, trauma/ICU, renal transplantation as well as elective opportunities.
