Prince Rupert
Prince Rupert is a coastal community with a rich history as a multicultural trading hub and is currently home to over 12,000 residents. Located at the western end of Kaien Island it sits at the end of highway 16 and at the mouth of the Skeena river.  It is the ancestral territory of the Ts’mysen Nation and serves as the hub for many surrounding coastal communities including Metlakatla, Lax Kw’alaams, and Kitkatla. Prince Rupert has had many identities over its long history including being the third largest port in Canada, the former halibut capital of the world, the rainiest city in Canada, and as it is currently known: the City of Rainbows.
