  1. Full-service Family Medicine (Emergency Medicine, Office-based care, procedures in clinic and on call at the hospital, Obstetrics, In-patient care, Long-term care, etc.)

Close knit, collegial, and engaged physician group (good mix of younger and more experienced physicians with great retention of docs who graduated from the residency program, large number of visiting medical students and residents from other programs, opportunity to work with visiting specialists from Saskatoon and Prince Albert)
  3. Opportunity to work with high risk vulnerable populations (great exposure to Addictions Medicine, local Primary Care led Hep C and HIV treatment)
  4. Opioid Agonist Therapy program offering excellent care to over 120 patients (several of our residents have chosen to offer Opioid Agonist Therapy following their training)
  5. Opportunity to utilize point of care ultrasound in the clinic and the Emergency department with excellent on-site mentorship

General Information

Our mission is to create, teach, and develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes specific to the discipline of Family Medicine. We will work to optimize health by demonstrating excellence and innovation in service, education, and scholarly activity. We will provide university, hospital, and community-based education consistent with the principles of Family Medicine. We will focus our efforts on working with communities in response to their health needs.
