Developed to address the unique needs of residency applicants searching for a program match during the COVID-19 pandemic, CANPREPP turned out to be an important equalizer for the medical education community. Any student can explore any program across Canada – leveling the playing field for all students and programs – and introducing opportunities perhaps not otherwise explored.

A centralized program promotion platform designed to be a “one stop shop” where any applicant to a Canadian Residency Program can access information on any Canadian Residency Program. With expanded program profiles and more information, applicants can seamlessly view and connect with programs or pursue further information via links to websites.

It is essential for applicants to have the opportunity to find out more about the different residency programs across Canada. Residency programs also have a need to promote themselves in order to highlight the strengths of their programs and communities as they look to select residents who will be the best fit.

An easy to use virtual platform allowing applicants to Canadian residency programs to discover, experience, and connect with any residency program across Canada. Applicants can connect with programs via the National Web Calendar of Events, explore residency profiles containing highlights, FAQ, Resident Experience testimonials and more, and discover more about Canada’s 17 faculties of medicine.
